Contractor with a degree in sociology, having spent a year in university, went on to audition at an open call for Pericles, at the prestigious Stratford Shakespeare Festival, [Ontario Canada] and won the role. Her performance received rave reviews. her performance on the stage in 92 productions. the play was voted"the best show of 2002" by Canadian critics in 2002. The actor was invited to join Stratford's conservatory, where a select eight men as well as four women can be accepted to take a crash course of 20 weeks on the classical stage that she gladly accepted. Contractor got a place in the following season of plays and landed the part as Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
